AVP Customer Operations - Permanent/ Fixed Term Contract
SMBC Aviation Capital is entering into a period of strategic change and ambitious growth and is investing in transforming our processes and services. The Customer Operations team is at the heart of this change and plays an integral role in delivering our customer centric strategy and supporting our customers’ needs. Delivering for our customers is at the heart of our business.
The Customer Operations team sits within the Customer Operations and IT function. The Team has a broad remit; day-to-day activities include ensuring the integrity and completeness of up-to-date aircraft lease data held in SMBC AC systems, timely and accurate Accounts Receivables billing and associated reporting, recording of utilisation data, the calculation of Maintenance Reserve Rate & Flight Hour to Cycle activity and responding to ad-hoc customer and internal stakeholder queries.
AVP/VP Commercial Negotiation & Execution (Insurance)
The Commercial Negotiation & Execution (CNX) function forms an integral part of the delivery of our commercial strategy and management of our customers’ needs. Delivering for our customers is at the heart of our business and our CNX function has a broad remit from leading the negotiation, project management and execution of the various contracts for all transactions undertaken by SMBC AC including leasing, trading, restructuring, OEM procurement and capital markets, managing post-delivery activity and customer relationships through to managing closings and document management along with responsibility for procurement and management of all insurance related matters.

AVP/VP Commercial Negotiation & Execution – Customer Management
The Commercial Negotiation & Execution (“CNX”) function forms an integral part of the delivery of our commercial strategy and management of our customers’ needs. Reporting to an EVP or SVP in CNX and located in Dublin, the position of AVP/VP CNX – Customer Management plays an important role within the CNX function. Our customers are at the heart of our business, and this customer-facing role is a key point of contact with the customer on all post-delivery activity providing the opportunity to work daily with customers, support and advocate on their behalf, as well as to actively participate on leasing and sale deal teams. This position will provide a strong training ground and/or continuing development on your path to a successful career in aircraft leasing.
VP IT- Data & Digital Product Owner (D&D PO)
The Data & Digital Product Owner is a senior, strategic role responsible for maximising the value of data, analytics and digitalisation across the organisation. You will drive delivery of the data & digital vision, data-driven insights, and democratisation of data products, collaborating with business and technical teams to drive adoption, innovation, and measurable impact. This role is pivotal in shaping how data & digitalisation informs strategy, operational excellence, and decision-making across all departments. In the wake of our recent transactional announcement, the Data & Digital Product Owner will be central to our evolution from traditional operational reporting & manual processes to a truly strategic, insight-led approach. By collaborating across all departments to understand operations and data sources and translate business needs into actionable digitalisation & BI (business intelligence) solutions, the D&D PO will drive delivery of application features, reporting and dashboards that are not only business fit-for-purpose but also drive measurable impact. Championing data integrity and governance, they will create compelling visualisations and KPI-driven reports that surface critical insights, enable data storytelling, and empower stakeholders to make informed decisions. Through automation, process improvement, and the adoption of advanced analytics technologies, the D&D PO will foster a culture of digitalisation, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and commercial success - ensuring our data assets become a catalyst for operational efficiency and strategic growth.
AVP/VP - Full Stack Developer (Python/React)
We're seeking a Full Stack Developer to work across our entire technology stack, building and maintaining our aviation finance modelling platform. You'll work on both FastAPI backend services and React frontend applications contribution to the full development lifecycle.
VP/SVP Commercial Negotiation & Execution - Transaction
The Commercial Negotiation & Execution Team forms an integral part of both the delivery of our commercial strategy and the holistic management of our customer bases. Delivering for our customers is at the heart of our business and our CNX function has a broad remit from leading the negotiation, project management and execution of the various contracts for all transactions undertaken by SMBC AC including leasing, trading, restructuring, OEM procurement and capital markets, managing post-delivery activity and customer relationships through to managing closings and document management. There are roles available on both a permanent and fixed term basis.
AVP / VP Finance (18 Month Contract)
Reporting to the SVP Finance and located in Dublin, the position of AVP / VP Finance is a key member of the Finance team. Our Finance team deliver accurate, timely and efficient financial reporting to the business, shareholders and other stakeholders. To achieve these outputs, the Finance team work closely with the business and shareholder support functions. All outputs are prepared in a controlled environment and include (i) monthly management accounts, (ii) monthly group reporting packs, (iii) quarterly financial statements (iv) quarterly “Management Discussion and Analyses” and (v) cost control analysis. Finance also manage the relationships with auditors and professional financial advisory firms and monitor and test the impact of potential changes in accounting standards.
