SMBC Aviation Capital signs up to IATA 25by2025
Dublin March 8 2022: SMBC Aviation Capital, one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies, to coincide with International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022, announces that it has signed up to the International Air Transport Association’s IATA 25by2025, which advocates for greater gender diversity in the aviation industry.
By signing up to IATA 25by2025, SMBC Aviation Capital is voluntarily committing to increase the number of women in senior positions and under-represented areas by 25% or up to a minimum of 25% by 2025. The company will publish key diversity metrics annually.
Commenting, Barry Flannery, Chief Commercial Officer, SMBC Aviation Capital said, “I am very pleased to announce on International Women’s Day that we are officially signing up to IATA’s 25by2025 initiative. We are committed to improving our gender diversity at all levels across our company and to bring about an industry that is more diverse and inclusive. Our commitment to this will be reflected over the coming years in the supports that will be provided to our employees and future joiners so that we achieve our objectives.”
