SMBC Aviation Capital volunteers travel to Open Arms Malawi charity partner,
In June 2023, 11 volunteers travelled to Malawi to visit our charity partner of 7 years, Open Arms Malawi. The group volunteered in Open Arms’ 2 infant homes, worked on a building project on the grounds of a local school and assisted Open Arms staff in their Community Outreach, conducting health and welfare checks on their re-homed children.
Open Arms re-homes orphaned and abandoned infants after caring for them for up to 2 years. They return them, healthy and robust, to a loving home within their community and continue to monitor their & their families’ wellbeing well into the future providing support where needed. We are currently supporting their community outreach programme to ensure their care continues beyond the initial 2 years of a child’s life.
