Michael Weiss Elected to the Board of ISTAT

San Diego, March 8, 2017: Michael Weiss, Head of Aircraft Trading at SMBC Aviation Capital has been elected to the Board of ISTAT.

ISTAT is the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading which promotes interest and educational opportunities in commercial aviation.

Michael will join the Board as an independent director for a four year term effective from today, following a successful election campaign. The Board members are elected by the members of ISTAT, which number 4,000 from around the world.

David Swan, Chief Operating Officer of SMBC Aviation Capital is stepping down following a six year term and has been elected to the Board of the ISTAT Foundation.
